I'm caring for my father, who's 88. After worsening Parkinson's disease Vlad can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Vlad desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Vlad worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $1,700 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $1,150
• Medication and prescriptions: $340
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $125
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $85

Sure. The biggest one is part-time carer (three months), $1,150. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks, that means a lot.
