Home care fund for Umar in Kediri
Umar can't afford the care He needs after a stroke last September; we're asking for $600.

I'm caring for my father, who's 84. After a stroke last September Umar can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Umar desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Umar worked all of his life as a nurse, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $600 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $370
• Medication and prescriptions: $125
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $60
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $45

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Umar.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. part-time carer (six months) comes first ($370) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Fair thing to want to know.
Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Kediri.
can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Kediri
Thank you. If you're in Kediri I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. It helps to be asked.
Sending love, Oky. Looking forward to the next update. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
hope it all works out, Oky. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My neighbor in Cebu City donated after I showed her your page. All the best
Good luck, Oky. Get well soon.
Thinking of you. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Kediri
sending love, Oky. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Put this on a community board in Mangaluru this morning. Love from Mangaluru
This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Tokyo so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Kediri
Rooting for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Manukau.
wishing you peace, Oky. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My husband and I read this together.
Stay strong, Oky. Your post was clear and honest. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Take care
