Home care fund for Rakesh in Lucknow
Rakesh, 75, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $800 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 75. After worsening Parkinson's disease Rakesh can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Rakesh desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Rakesh worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.

• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $50
• Part-time carer (eight months): $640
