Home care fund for Nikolaos in Piraeus
Nikolaos, 96, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $2,400 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 96. After a diagnosis of dementia Nikolaos can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Nikolaos desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Nikolaos worked all of his life as a bus driver, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $2,400 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $1,550
• Medication and prescriptions: $320
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $190
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $340
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

keep going, Dimitrios. This could happen to any of us. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Piraeus.
Wishing Nikolaos a smooth procedure and a full recovery. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
Looking forward to the next update. Love from Palmira
