Home care fund for Mercy in Lagos
Mercy, 83, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $200 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 83. After the death of her spouse Mercy can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Mercy desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Mercy worked all of her life as a carpenter, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $200 goes:
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $40
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $75
• Medication and prescriptions: $85
