Home care fund for Markus in Dresden
Markus, 80, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $3,300 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 80. After a fall and hip fracture Markus can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Markus desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Markus worked all of his life as a nurse, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.

• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $200
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $170
