Home care fund for Mahmoud in Birmingham
Help Mahmoud stay in his own home with six months of part-time care.
🇬🇧 Birmingham, England, United Kingdom1,546 views
I'm caring for me, who's 91. After a stroke last August Mahmoud can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Mahmoud desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Mahmoud worked all of his life as a seamstress, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $3,800 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $2,200
• Medication and prescriptions: $820
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $270
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $510
Thanks for reading all this.

so sorry you're going through this, Mahmoud. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Thinking of Birmingham
Wishing Mahmoud a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Mahmoud
Sure. The biggest one is part-time carer (six months), $2,200. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.
rooting for you, Mahmoud. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Blessings.
You're not alone. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Wish I lived closer to Kisumu so I could bring a meal.
