I'm caring for my mother, who's 77. After a stroke last August Louise can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Louise desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Louise worked all of her life as a nurse, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Louise.
It's all in the list in the story. part-time carer (three months) is the big one at $3,000, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. I'll keep the page updated.
