Home care fund for Koen in Amsterdam
Koen, 87, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $4,650 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 87. After a heart attack Koen can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Koen desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Koen worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $4,650 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $3,600
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $390
• Medication and prescriptions: $660
