Home care fund for James in Eldoret
Help James stay in his own home with three months of part-time care.
🇰🇪 Eldoret, Uasin Gishu, Kenya821 views
I'm caring for my father, who's 86. After a stroke last January James can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and James desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
James worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $750 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $480
• Medication and prescriptions: $145
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $50
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $75
With deep gratitude,
Achieng

Praying for you, Achieng. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.
Stay strong, Achieng. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. After 18 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything
Hope it all works out. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Jodhpur.
Good luck. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Thinking of Eldoret
Good luck. Shared it with a few friends. My neighbor in Peoria donated after I showed her your page
Hope things get better soon. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
