I'm caring for my father, who's 91. After a heart attack Imran can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Imran desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Imran worked all of his life as a schoolteacher, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $250 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $70
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $50
• Medication and prescriptions: $130
