I'm caring for my father, who's 79. After worsening Parkinson's disease Hudson can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Hudson desperately wants to stay at home. I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Hudson worked all of his life as a nurse, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $1,400 goes: • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $240 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $310 • Medication and prescriptions: $850 Please ask me anything in the questions section.
