I'm caring for my father, who's 95. After a fall and hip fracture Evgeny can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Evgeny desperately wants to stay at home. I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Evgeny worked all of his life as a bus driver, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $300 goes: • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $110 • Medication and prescriptions: $105 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $85 I hope life is good to you. - Dmytro

  • You're not alone. This could happen to any of us. Thinking of Odesa.

    • sending love, Dmytro. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless.

      • Good luck. This could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best

        • reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 12 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Odesa.

          • stay strong, Dmytro. Wishing Evgeny a smooth procedure and a full recovery. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
