I'm caring for me, who's 86. After worsening Parkinson's disease Eva can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Eva desperately wants to stay at home. I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer. Eva worked all of her life as a bus driver, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $4,350 goes: • Medication and prescriptions: $470 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $220 • Part-time carer (six months): $3,660 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Updates from Eva

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($1,094 in total) we've started the first stage. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
