Home care fund for Elke in Nuremberg
Elke, 85, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $3,700 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 85. After a heart attack Elke can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Elke desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Elke worked all of her life as a seamstress, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $3,700 goes:
• Medication and prescriptions: $650
• Part-time carer (three months): $2,800
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $250

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Elke.
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. medication and prescriptions is the biggest at $650. I'll keep the page updated.
