Home care fund for Chukwuemeka in Wudil
Help Chukwuemeka stay in his own home with eight months of part-time care.
🇳🇬 Wudil, Kano, Nigeria845 views
I'm caring for my father, who's 86. After a diagnosis of dementia Chukwuemeka can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Chukwuemeka desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Chukwuemeka worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $550 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $340
• Medication and prescriptions: $100
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $35
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $75
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
