Home care fund for Bennett in Los Angeles
Bennett, 83, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,600 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 83. After a diagnosis of dementia Bennett can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Bennett desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Bennett worked all of his life as a shopkeeper, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $330
• Medication and prescriptions: $820
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $450
