I'm caring for my father, who's 75. After a diagnosis of dementia Amit can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Amit desperately wants to stay at home. I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Amit worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 5 children.
