Home care fund for Álvaro in Granada
Álvaro, 78, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,850 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 78. After a fall and hip fracture Álvaro can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Álvaro desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Álvaro worked all of his life as a seamstress, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $1,850 goes:
• Medication and prescriptions: $320
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $270
• Part-time carer (eight months): $1,260
