Viktoria was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated in November. The surgeon at Odesa University Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for February. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,050, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,650 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Odesa University Hospital since November. The doctors say a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,050 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Viktoria struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Viktoria won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
