Paolo was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in June. The surgeon at Quezon City Community Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,050, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $850 short.
my husband has been in and out of Quezon City Community Hospital since June. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,050 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Paolo struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
