Hip replacement surgery for Muhammad: covering what insurance won't
A scheduled hip replacement surgery in October is out of reach without help covering $800 of the cost.

Muhammad was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in August. The surgeon at Bandung Regional Medical Center recommended hip replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,000, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $800 short.
my son has been in and out of Bandung Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Muhammad struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Muhammad won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
