Hip replacement surgery for Maxim: covering what insurance won't
A scheduled hip replacement surgery in March is out of reach without help covering $1,650 of the cost.

Maxim was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in January. The surgeon at Zaporizhzhia Orthopedic Institute recommended hip replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,050, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,650 short.
my son has been in and out of Zaporizhzhia Orthopedic Institute since January. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,050 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Maxim struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Maxim won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $630
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $100
• Travel and lodging for the family: $35
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $885

Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I hope April is when things finally get easier. Blessings.
You're not alone, Roman. Hope the doctors have good news. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Zaporizhzhia.
