Marilyn was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc in March. The surgeon at San Antonio Regional Medical Center recommended hip replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $9,500, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $7,100 short.
my wife has been in and out of San Antonio Regional Medical Center since March. The doctors say a herniated spinal disc will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $9,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Marilyn struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
