Giuseppe was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated in June. The surgeon at Bergamo Orthopedic Institute recommended hip replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,000, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $5,550 short.
my son has been in and out of Bergamo Orthopedic Institute since June. The doctors say a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Giuseppe struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
