Rani, my grandmother, passed away on 20 September after a road accident. She was 33 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $650 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 26 September. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Rani to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $650 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $310 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $170 • Transport of the deceased: $80 • Memorial gathering for the family: $90 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
