I make my living with my taxi. 5 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $100. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my 2 children. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $100 goes: • Road tax and insurance renewal: $45 • Labor charges: $35 • Towing and inspection: $20 With deep gratitude, Zenaida

Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about road tax and insurance renewal, advice is welcome too. Good question.

  • Hope things get better soon. Hope the shop reopens soon. I'll check back for the next update.
