Zainab was diagnosed with cervical cancer in May. The oncology team at Ogbomosho Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Zainab is 30, worked as a bus conductor until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Ogbomosho Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,100 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $130 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $780 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $100 • Transport to Ogbomosho Cancer Centre: $90 Glad we found this place. - Favour
