The electricity and water account is 3 months behind. Yusuf received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless $350 is paid. He had never been late before September's medical emergency.
Yusuf called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $110 first, which isn't available.
The household includes two young children, and going through summer without electricity and water isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Yusuf is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
