Himari, my grandmother, passed away on 20 September after a stroke. She was 40 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,700 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 6 October. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Himari to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Tokyo hospice. Where the $1,700 goes: • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,100 • Transport of the deceased: $300 • Memorial gathering for the family: $300 Every share and every dollar helps.
