Help Yong-jun pay for cataract surgery at Saint Catherine Hospital
A scheduled cataract surgery in December is out of reach without help covering $1,900 of the cost.

Yong-jun was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in September. The surgeon at Saint Catherine Hospital recommended cataract surgery, and He is scheduled for December. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,800, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,900 short.
my father has been in and out of Saint Catherine Hospital since September. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,800 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Yong-jun struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Yong-jun won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $200
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,350
• Physiotherapy sessions: $350
