Help Yogita with a HVAC technician's skills: a septic backup

Yogita has a septic backup, and can't afford a licensed HVAC technician to fix it; a few hours of professional help would make the home safe.

In July an inspector told me that my home has a septic backup. It's a safety risk for me and my newborn. The landlord has refused to act, and quotes of $280 are beyond us. I'm looking for a licensed HVAC technician who may be able to donate a few hours or do the repair at cost. I can cover the parts, which I estimate at $20. The job should take about four hours. I'll make sure someone is home and will provide refreshments. I can share the inspector's written report on request. If you're a HVAC technician and can help, or know a program that assists with this sort of repair, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you for reading my story.

  • I hope things turn around soon. Wish I lived closer to Fez so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Mumbai

    • sending good thoughts, Yogita. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.

      • it takes guts to ask. Well done. Sent it to 12 people at work.
