After a hip fracture that never healed properly, Yinka was cleared for laparoscopic cyst removal, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Yinka was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in January. The surgeon at Saint Mary Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and He is scheduled for April. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $920, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $550 short. my son has been in and out of Saint Mary Hospital since January. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $920 is more than we can find. While we wait, Yinka struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. The recovery period is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Yinka won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $550 goes: • Hospital stay (2 nights): $380 • Post-operative medication: $25 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $85 • Physiotherapy sessions: $60 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
