Help Yetunde keep the Community Pantry pantry stocked
Yetunde runs a volunteer pantry feeding 283 families; this fund restocks shelves for the school holidays.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Thursday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 10 families, and now we feed 283 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 33% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Onitsha market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $400 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $240
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $55
• Baby formula and diapers: $35
• Refrigeration and electricity: $70
If you're reading this, thank you.

Update from Onitsha: the plan for fresh vegetables and fruit is now scheduled. We're at 15% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
We're at 18% thanks to 3 of you. I made the first payment toward rice, beans, flour and oil. More news soon.

Hope things get better soon, Yetunde. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
Hope things get better soon, Yetunde. Great idea, hope you get there. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. God bless.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 17 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless
Take care, Yetunde. It takes guts to ask. Well done. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Iztapalapa this morning. Thinking of Onitsha
