I make my living with my taxi. 6 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $250 goes: • fuel pump replacement (parts): $135 • Labor charges: $45 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $25 • Towing and inspection: $45 I hope life is good to you.

Updates from Yaw

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($53 in total) I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Small update. $103 so far, I made the first payment toward towing and inspection.
