Help Ximena get through 4 hard months with a toddler and a seven-year-old
Ximena and a toddler and a seven-year-old need a bridge to stability after a house fire.
🇲🇽 Ciudad de México, Mexico1,163 views
After a house fire in June, I'm now raising a toddler and a seven-year-old on my own. I work as a retail cashier, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a medical coder in the evenings, which will triple my income by September, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Money goes toward rent, groceries, after-school care and the cost of my course. I'll give a monthly update with receipts.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Rent top-up: $520
• Childcare and after-school care: $260
• Groceries and school meals: $380
• Course fees and exam costs: $240
Thanks for being kind about this.

I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Love from Iași.
I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My neighbor in Quezon City donated after I showed her your page. Greetings from Quezon City.
Good luck, Ximena. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
So sorry you're going through this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We're a small family in Quezon City but we're thinking of you. Take care
rooting for you, Ximena. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Iztapalapa.
Good luck. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best
