Help Ximena finish a teaching qualification at Mexicali Community College - $1,600 to go

Ximena is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a teaching qualification at Mexicali Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,600. The registrar has said Ximena can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Ximena has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Ximena would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Ximena isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $1,600 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $760 • Final term tuition: $700 • Exam and lab fees: $65 • Textbooks and materials: $75 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
