I make my living with my taxi. 6 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $265. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $265 goes: • suspension replacement (parts): $180 • Labor charges: $40 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $40 • Towing and inspection: $5 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

So sorry you're going through this. Hope you get there. Sent it to 15 people at work. All the best.

      • everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Put this on a community board in San Antonio this morning.
