The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $9,250, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $6,850 short.
my father has been in and out of Saint Francis Hospital since December. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $9,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, William struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time William won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.

what's already covered and what's the $6,850 for?
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. surgeon and anesthesia fees comes first ($2,300) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid.
