Help Wekesa replace the rear axle and return to work

Without my motorbike Wekesa can't work; a $250 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my motorbike. 6 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $250 goes: • rear axle replacement (parts): $160 • Labor charges: $50 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $25 • Towing and inspection: $15 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Updates from Wekesa

  1. Thank you all. We're at 44% now ($110). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for rear axle replacement is now scheduled.

  2. Quick update: $100 raised so far (40%). I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
