Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Tuesday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 29 families, and now we feed 104 each week. Donations have dropped by about 50% this winter, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Berlin market and keep every receipt. Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $1,800 goes: • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $300 • Refrigeration and electricity: $185 • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,315 Thank you for reading my story.

Updates from Walter

  1. Quick update: $58 raised so far (3%). I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 2% funded and the plan for refrigeration and electricity is now scheduled.

  3. Update from Berlin: we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. We're at 2% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
