Wafula is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Kinondoni Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $500. The registrar has said Wafula can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Wafula has a 3.9 average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Wafula would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Wafula isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Kinondoni Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $500 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $200 • Final term tuition: $250 • Exam and lab fees: $25 • Textbooks and materials: $25 Every share and every dollar helps. - John
