Help Vincenzo keep the the Second Helping pantry stocked
The the Second Helping pantry in Bologna is running low just as demand rises; $1,650 will stock it for 9 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Thursday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 21 families, and now we feed 287 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 44% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Bologna market and keep every receipt.
Each $40 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,150
• Refrigeration and electricity: $100
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $400
Thanks for being kind about this.
- Vincenzo

Best of luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Bologna
