Help Vikash keep his home - 2 months behind on rent
A final eviction notice arrived last week. Vikash needs $1,000 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Johannesburg.

Following a long illness in the family, Vikash fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Monday a final eviction notice was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $1,000.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, the family must leave.
There are two young children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Vikash has started working evenings as a cleaner, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rent arrears (2 months) comes first ($710) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Appreciate you taking the time.
