Help Vihaan keep the Open Hands Pantry pantry stocked
Vihaan runs a volunteer pantry feeding 82 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Saturday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 11 families, and now we feed 82 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 44% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 17 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Chennai market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $300 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $35
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $130
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $135
Thank you so much.
