Victoria was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in August. The surgeon at Coventry Orthopedic Institute recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,500, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $4,600 short.
my mother has been in and out of Coventry Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Victoria struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Victoria won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
