Help Vasanthi pay for ACL reconstruction at New Delhi Orthopedic Institute
After a benign brain tumor, Vasanthi was cleared for ACL reconstruction, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Vasanthi was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in July. The surgeon at New Delhi Orthopedic Institute recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,150, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $700 short.
my mother has been in and out of New Delhi Orthopedic Institute since July. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,150 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Vasanthi struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Vasanthi won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $700 goes:
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $60
• Travel and lodging for the family: $30
• Post-operative medication: $50
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $170
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $390
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
