Help Vanessa replace the transmission and return to work
Vanessa drives for a living in Manila, and a broken transmission has stopped all income for 5 weeks.

I make my living with my delivery van. 5 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $200. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $200 goes:
• Towing and inspection: $20
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $20
• transmission replacement (parts): $160
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

rooting for you, Vanessa. Hope you get there. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Abuja.
Thinking of you, Vanessa. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. I hope September is when things finally get easier.
