Help Valentina keep the the Sunday Shelf pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for neighbors in need in Juiz de Fora.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Tuesday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 11 families, and now we feed 264 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 49% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Juiz de Fora market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $450
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $420
• Baby formula and diapers: $95
• Refrigeration and electricity: $135
