The gas account is 3 months behind. Uthai received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on March unless $250 is paid. She had never been late before an unexpected car repair.
Uthai called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $35 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through winter without gas isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
Uthai is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Uthai's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
